The Family Empowerment Organization aims to improve the living standards of Sudanese families, lifting them out of poverty and into a dignified life that provides them with all their basic needs.
This is achieved by transforming families from consumers to producers through a number of programs and practical solutions that will have a significant impact on changing the lives of families and, consequently, society as a whole.
In this regard, the Productive Family Empowerment Organization launched its ‘Ascent from the Base’ program, which is a major training campaign aimed at building the capacities of the simple Sudanese citizen to acquire a skill that enables them to find freelance work that helps them increase their income and standard of living.
These programs include:
- Providing intensive training courses (in-person and online) for families in all possible areas of family production, such as dairy product manufacturing, meat products, baking and pastry making, field and home-based agriculture, livestock, poultry, fish, and others, farm management, various processing industries in the manufacture of different food products, perfume and fragrance manufacturing, soap making, sewing and embroidery, basic computer programs, design, nursing and first aid, electronic marketing, planning, and preparing feasibility studies, teamwork, and many other courses that will transform the consumer behavior of Sudanese society into a productive behavior, thus contributing to increasing individual income, achieving self-sufficiency, and consequently contributing to increasing national production.
- Spreading simple and diverse productive ideas with local resources to improve the condition of the Sudanese family through technical and knowledge support to reduce hunger, disease, and ignorance.
Providing technical support and consultations for the establishment of productive projects and marketing plans. - Grouping small productive families into large production units, which facilitates the production process and project management.
- Opening joint sales outlets to market family products, making it easier for them to reach the consumer directly.
- Providing financial support to families to establish small productive projects, which, in turn, after succeeding as productive families, provide technical and financial support to new productive families by sharing their experience and expertise with others.
- Creating partnerships with official authorities in developing public policies and future plans for the issues and projects of the productive community with the aim of continuous improvement for productive families.
